Frequently Asked
Questions

Your Questions. Answered.

We want to make garbage bin disposal service as easy and worry-free as possible.

Below are answers to the most common questions we receive.

1. How much does garbage bin disposal service cost?

Pricing depends on the bin size, type of material, service duration, delivery location, and disposal requirements. Every project is different, so we provide free, no-obligation quotes.

For accurate pricing, call KCJ Waste Disposal at 604-854-1068 and tell us what you are disposing of, where the bin is going, and when you need it delivered.

2. What size bin do I need?

The right bin size depends on the type of project, the amount of material, and the type of waste being disposed of.

10 yard bin — small cleanups, spring cleaning, light home projects, and yard cleanup.

20 yard bin — bathroom renovations, flooring removal, garage cleanouts, and medium household projects.

30 yard bin — larger renovations, drywall, wood, flooring, and bulky cleanup jobs.

40 yard bin — major renovations, roofing jobs, commercial cleanup, and large construction projects.

3. How long can I keep the bin?

Standard bin service is typically for one week. If you need the bin longer, please let us know. Additional daily charges may apply after the standard service period.

4. Can I overfill the bin?

No. For safety reasons, material should not be loaded above the top edge of the bin. Overfilled bins may be unsafe to transport and may result in extra charges or pickup delays. Please keep the material level with the top of the bin.

5. How do I schedule pickup?

When your bin is full or your project is complete, call KCJ Waste Disposal at 604-854-1068 to schedule pickup. We will come to your location, load the bin onto our truck, and haul it away.

6. What materials are not allowed in the bin?

For safety and disposal reasons, some materials cannot go in our bins.

Materials we cannot accept include hazardous waste, contaminated dirt, asbestos, propane tanks, cylinders, aerosol cans, oils, batteries, and illegal materials.

If you are unsure whether your material is allowed, please call us before loading the bin.

7. What materials can go in the bin?

KCJ bins can be used for many common cleanup, renovation, construction, and yard waste materials.

Common accepted materials include roofing materials, drywall and wood, soil, rock, and construction material, concrete, furniture, scrap metal, yard waste, general junk, renovation debris, and some electronics and appliances.

8. Do I need to sort the material?

In many cases, sorting is not required. However, some materials may need to be separated depending on disposal rules, recycling requirements, weight, or material type. When you call for a quote, let us know what you are disposing of and we will tell you if anything needs to be separated.

9. Do you recycle?

Yes. KCJ Waste Disposal recycles whenever possible. Recycling depends on the type of material in the bin and local disposal requirements. We do our best to handle waste responsibly and direct recyclable materials appropriately when possible.

10. What happens if I go over my service period?

If you need the bin longer than the standard service period, please contact us as soon as possible. Additional daily charges may apply after the included service period. We are happy to work with your schedule whenever possible.

11. Where can the bin be placed?

Bins are usually placed on a driveway, job site, parking area, or another safe and accessible location. The placement area should be flat, strong enough to support the bin, and clear of low branches, wires, vehicles, and other obstacles. If you are unsure where the bin should go, our driver can help when they arrive.

12. Do you offer same-day or next-day delivery?

Delivery availability depends on scheduling, location, and bin availability. Call 604-854-1068 and we will let you know the earliest available delivery time. We do our best to provide fast service whenever possible.

13. Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?

You do not always need to be home, as long as we have clear instructions and safe access to the placement area. Before delivery, please make sure the area is clear and accessible. For pickup, make sure nothing is blocking the bin and that the material is not overfilled.

14. Are you insured?

Yes. KCJ Waste Disposal is insured and provides professional bin delivery and pickup service. Our drivers are friendly, experienced, and focused on placing and removing bins safely.
